LINK’19 is a full-day interdisciplinary conference that aims to bring the University of Nottingham’s postgraduate students together from diverse areas of research.
As a conference open to all research themes and subject areas, LINK’19 offers the opportunity for both Masters and PhD research students to meet fellow postgraduates from all over the University, forging new research links across schools and departments and offering a creative environment for research exchange. Open exclusively to UoN students, it also aims to provide postgraduates with an opportunity to present their work at any stage of their research within a friendly, supportive and stimulating environment.
The conference will focus on the University of Nottingham’s own global research themes and faculty departments to welcoming research being done in other areas across the University. No matter what your stage of study, LINK’19 promises to be a fantastic opportunity to practice presenting your work and get feedback from your fellow Nottingham students!
The day will consist of both verbal presentations and poster presentations. Nottingham postgraduate students are invited to submit a 250-word abstract on ANY subject for either a verbal or poster presentation. LINK’19 will feature the following themes:

- Sustainable Societies
- Culture and Communications
- Digital Futures and Transformative Technologies
- Health and Well-being
- Business, Innovation and Design
Faculties
These are ONLY SUGGESTED research foci. ALL ABSTRACTS on ALL SUBJECTS will be considered. Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words and should be submitted, along with a short bio, on the LINK’19 abstract submissions page.
