Matthew Young

Matt is an experienced science communicator and PhD researcher in neuroscience. For the last 3 years Matt has worked both on stage and behind the scenes of many big & small public engagement projects both within the University of Nottingham and beyond. In Nottingham, Matt coordinates the Nottingham Pint of Science Festival and the group STEM Outreach Nottingham, as well as contributing to Nottingham’s Festival of Science and Curiosity. He has also dabbled as a free-lance science communicator with organisations such as The Royal Institution, Cheltenham Science Festival and has even been known to perform some nerdy stand-up comedy at events like Science Showoff.
