What is LINK?

Link’19 will be the 5th edition of University of Nottingham and University of Nottingham Students’ Union’s interdisciplinary research conference.

Our goal is to empower postgraduate students to share and celebrate their research in a positive, constructive and, collaborative space, and to facilitate the development of interdisciplinary connections and networks.

There is also the opportunity to compete in the University of Nottingham’s heat of the 3-minute thesis competition. http://nottingham.ac.uk/graduateschool/public-engagement/3-minute-thesis/index.aspx

How do I get involved?

Abstract submissions for Link’18 are now closed. To get involved you will have to wait until Link’19 next academic year.

You can submit an abstract for a poster or presentation on any of the University’s research themes and faculty department. No matter what stage of your research you are at, or your topic.

Don’t worry if you’re not sure which theme your research fits into, the committee will review and organise all submitted abstracts.

Not only is there the opportunity to present but you can also buy tickets and attend as an observer at the conference. A great opportunity to engage with current research that is being undertaken by our PhD students here at Nottingham.

Additionally around November we recruit the Link Committee for the year. This is the group of individuals who along with the Postgraduate Officer and conference team at EMCC, organise the running of the event. Keep an eye on social media if you are interested in this opportunity or get in touch with your SU Postgraduate Officer.
